Welcome to Dublin

Suburban neighborhood, centrally located with great schools

Known as the crossroads for the Bay Area, Dublin lies where highways 580 and 680 intersect. But its history dates to a time when Native American trading trails crossed here. With a population of nearly 75,000 people, Dublin is affectionately named in honor of Dublin, Ireland, due to its large Irish population. Though the area is rich in history, its city status is fairly new, having been incorporated in 1982.

Most residents own their own homes here within a variety of neighborhoods, including the family-oriented neighborhood of Positano. There’s also the Dublin Ranch Area with its fantastic parks and golf course, as well as the newer neighborhood of Boulevard that features mostly modern single-family homes and a recreation center complete with a pool, fitness center, and clubhouse.

Local Lifestyle

Dublin offers a blend of an urban and suburban atmosphere. The downtown area, located along Dublin Boulevard, is currently transforming with its newest transit-oriented developments that offer an easy commute to the rest of the Bay Area. Like the rest of the Tri-Valley area, Dublin is known for sunny days and pleasant weather.

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

There are numerous fine dining spots in Dublin. Centrally located in Dublin's downtown, Amakara strives to provide its own "unique flair" to traditional sushi and fresh fish selections. Open for lunch and dinner daily, Amakara-favored dishes include its Spicy Crunch Rainbow and Klondike Express.

Enjoy a skirt steak, rotisserie chicken, or red wine braised short ribs at the Market Tavern, where indoor and outdoor dining is available. Shop in the market for freshly baked bread and ready-to-go meals to take home. The Market Tavern is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week and brunch on Saturdays and Sundays.

If you enjoy a casual atmosphere and dining on seafood, Dublin's Pacific Catch is just the place! As resolute ocean lovers, owners Keith and Aaron are committed to Pacific-inspired flavors while protecting the oceans. Offering Pacific plate dinners, a variety of fish and Wagyu burgers, and a seafood-themed taco bar, you will love the menu choices at Pacific Catch.

For shopping options, visit Dublin Place, where stores include Burlington's, Bassett Home Furnishings, and PetSmart for the needs of your four-legged family members. Lunch and dinner options here include Lucille's Smokehouse Bar-be-que.

Go Karts are alive and well in Dublin! Enjoy the K1 Speed indoor tracks on your own, or have a party with your friends. If you are hungry for a bite, stop in at the Pit Café. And for an afternoon of non-stop fun, enjoy the arcade with air hockey and pool tables.

Every summer, the City of Dublin holds its annual Splatter event. For one day, Emerald Glen Park becomes one loud and lively party with multicultural entertainers and events, a World Craft Bazar, and a diverse selection of food!
